We are seeking an experienced Enterprise IT Network Architect with a robust background in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level network solutions. This role is ideal for a technical expert with practical, hands-on experience in network architecture and a strategic understanding of developing cohesive network roadmaps and solutions. The successful candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented design expert with a proven record of delivering adaptable and resilient network solutions. The architect will be responsible for providing internal consultancy, technical designs, and support for project managers across the organization, ensuring seamless integration and harmony in the enterprise network infrastructure
Missions :
• Architect and refine network solutions for both traditional and cloud environments, including SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, and cloud-based network services, based on industry best practices and future state models.
• Define and maintain a comprehensive network framework, including solution catalogs, reference architectures, and documentation. Ensure design standards and methods are upheld across SBM stakeholders, clients, and third-party suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to IT network standards, supporting overall IT policies and creating a consistent network strategy across the enterprise in line with Group IT objectives.
• Develop and document network solutions architecture that is fit-for-purpose, clearly structured, and compliant with standards.
• Collaborate with managed service providers and internal stakeholders for WAN (SD-WAN) and VSAT solutions, integrating technologies like C-band, Ku-band, and Starlink to maintain connectivity across all environments.
• Advise on network security integration, aligning with IT Security Architecture & OT Security Architecture and ensuring network designs meet or exceed security requirements, including network-based security equipment (firewalls, load balancers, WAF).
• Write and review detailed technical documentation to ensure that non-functional requirements are addressed within the technical network design.
• Foster strong partnerships with internal teams, such as IT Security, OT Security and IT Operations, to ensure network solutions meet organizational needs and strategic objectives.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance network solutions, proposing improvements to align with emerging technologies and organizational goals.
• A master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in IT network architecture, with the last 3 years focused on large-scale network design and operations
• A deep understanding of enterprise network across WAN, LAN, cloud, and security layers
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, and experience working with globally dispersed teams are essential.
• Certifications such as Cisco (CCNP), Azure Network Certified, or ITIL are a plus.
In addition :
• Solid expertise in Azure-specific networking services including Virtual Network (VNet) configurations, Private peering and ExpressRoute for secure, high-performance connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of Azure hub-and-spoke network topologies.
• Extensive experience in defining, configuring, and managing SD-WAN policies.
• Knowledge of WAN optimization techniques and tools, particularly Riverbed.
• Good knowledge of BGP with experience in configuring and optimizing BGP.
• Proficiency in DMVPN including overlay routing, and multi-hub configurations.
• Experience with Firewall NAT configurations across private and public networks.
• Strong understanding of DMZ architecture principles, with the ability to design segmented network zones according to Purdue Model standards with a focus on secure, structured interactions between IT and OT networks.
• Proficiency in Cisco WLAN design and deployment, including Wi-Fi standards and security configurations for enterprise-grade wireless networks.
• Proficiency in LAN architecture design, including VLANs, subnetting.
• Familiarity with VoIP and video conferencing architectures to support unified communication solutions across the enterprise.
• Vendor management experience, ensuring high standards and accountability from managed network service providers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive network solutions from concept to implementation with a proactive and Enterprise mindset.
• Focus on collaborative team environments, including co-working and effective knowledge transfer.
• Fluent in English is mandatory.
